Summary

A young boy strives to keep his friends and family safe from ruthless competitors when his benefactor is murdered for the plans to a new flying machine

Athan Wilde dreams of flight. When his friend, Mr Chen, is murdered, Athan must rescue the flying machine they were building together and stop it falling into the wrong hands. But keeping the machine safe puts his family in terrible danger. What will Athan choose - flight or family?

NOTE : We have classified this title as JF as the language and presentation is aimed at this age group. However some elements (see below) may decide it is better suited to transition or teenage collections.

Athan's Uncle is severely injured after being attacked and three people are brutally murdered, including Athan's friend Todd, who is shot.

Athan's disabled sister has hot mustard and other substances rubbed onto her legs by their grandma as a means to burn out the "fairy changeling" in her. This causes blistering and burns.
