A novel in verse format about a girl who takes up boxing to help her stand up to the bullies who are tormenting her
Lily is sixteen and feels utterly trapped.
Bullied at school, she doesn't want to lay her unhappiness at her parents' door - they have problems of their own. When the kids at school finally go too far, Lily and her family must face reality and decide if she's going to fight back or remain a victim.
But is stepping up simply about getting revenge? Or about taking charge of her life once and for all?

I picked this one up to review with something of a heavy heart - I really didn't think I'd enjoy a book about a girl who did boxing....but as soon as I started reading I just couldn't stop and I powered through it in one sitting. It's an incredibly moving read; the verse format is extremely effective and the characters ring true. Well worth reading.
