Finance Manager

Salary: £45,000-£52,000 DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday; part-time considered

Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for a new challenge in a dynamic SME environment?

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Finance Manager to join our growing business in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small, established team of accounts administrative staff and play a key role in shaping our financial operations.

The role:

As our Finance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day financial management of the business, ensuring robust financial controls and processes are in place. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and mentoring a small team of accounts admin staff
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
  • Cash flow management
  • Supervising monthly pay roll processes
  • Working closely with senior management to support business growth

What we’re looking for:

  • Fully or part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with relevant experience
  • Experience in a finance management role within an SME environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
