PSHE
Personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education is an important and necessary part of all pupils’ education, providing children with the knowledge and skills to enable them to be happy, healthy and safe, as well as to prepare them for life and work.
Books that support PSHE and emotional literacy help children to explore important issues around growing up, looking after themselves and relating to others. Many schools use books to help support PSHE lessons, whole school assemblies and for one-to-one or small group work. Fiction in particular may help to open up conversations on difficult topics, with the characters in the story doing the work of exploring the issue and pupils being provided with a safe neutral space to talk about the topics that are on their minds.
With a range of texts to cover different aspects of your PSHE curriculum highlighted below, we hope there will be something here to cover all your needs.
